Last weekend, met up with Connor, Ben and Jan and went to see the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Natural History Museum. Couldn't resist briefly revisiting the dinosaurs while there. Ran out of time to look at Kylie's underwear at the V&A museum, so went for crepes instead. Yum.
I went to a masterclass with cinematographer Brian Tufano (Trainspotting, Billy Elliot etc) at the BAFTA headquarters. It was a great session, combining his life story with filming advice and examples of his problem-solving techniques.
Went into HMV the other day to buy some stuff, and discovered that they have one of the actual sets from Wallace & Gromit in their shop:
Came home one night to find our squirrel going a but nutty in the backyard. That's him sitting on top of the roof, barking at nothing (as far as I could tell). I went over to say hi, and he yapped me a few times as well. Odd fellow!
Did a workshop on Saturday to prepare for a filmshoot. This is us at the historic Lauderdale House, which was built in 1582 on Highgate Hill:
Highgate Hill is also famous as the place where Dick Whittington hears a 'message' in the churchbells that he will be thrice mayor of London. I found a statue of his cat, who plays no small part in advancing his fortunes:
Went to an interview with Isabella Rossellini on Sunday, where she spoke at length about her parents and their films. Saw a comedy short, "The Chicken" by Roberto Rossellini starring Ingrid Bergman, and a tribuet to her father called "My Dad Is 100 Years Old" in which she plays most roles, including Chaplin, Fellini, Hitchcock and Ingrid Bergman.
Bumped into Rachel and Phil outside, and went for drinks and dinner. This is they, clowning around at the Italian restaurant:

Watched season one of "Life on Mars". It's great! After being involved in a car accident in 2006, DCI Sam Tyler wakes up in 1973...
